About Us
The Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum is the largest community museum in Ontario. Our facility includes two indoor galleries and a 60 acre living history exhibit called Doon Heritage Village that is open seasonally from May 1 to December 23. Visit and experience our current exhibits!
Our main gallery is called Maple Leaf/ Schneiders and tells the story of Waterloo Region and our feature gallery showcases local and travelling exhibits from around the world.
Located on the second floor of the main museum gallery is the Waterloo Region Hall of Fame. The second floor also contains a War Memorial with a virtual list of the names of all those from Waterloo County/Region who have given their lives for their country.
One admission price includes entry to all of the museum exhibit galleries and Doon Heritage Village.
Our site also includes a Curatorial Centre where we store and preserve artifact collections owned by the Region of Waterloo. The Curatorial Centre is also where most of our staff offices are located.
