Lecture series explores importance and impact of climate change
Waterloo Region – In celebration of the current exhibit, Our Climate Quest: Small Steps to Big Change, the University of Waterloo, Balsillie School of International Affairs and Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum invite residents to enhance their understanding of climate issues through a specially curated lecture series. Lectures will cover topics including climate change adaptation, sustainability, sustainable agriculture, climate geo-engineering, green energy transitions and decarbonization of the economy.
Curated and developed by Science North with support from the Government of Canada, Our Climate Quest builds on our current understanding of climate change and its impacts, while encouraging visitors to take meaningful action in a fun and engaging way.
This thought-provoking series of three lectures provide insights into the challenges and impacts of climate change and offer insights for anyone who wants to explore the topic from the perspective of experts at the top of their field.
We invite members of the media and the community to join us for this intriguing lecture series and explore the Our Climate Quest exhibit at the Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum:

Cost: General admission tickets are $10 plus HST. Tickets are free for students who present valid ID.
Lectures will take place in the museum theatre with an opportunity to engage with speakers in a question/answer format.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. to allow time for gallery exploration.
Coffee and snacks will be provided.
