From hair-raising to awe-inspiring: Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum hosts two science exhibitions this fall
Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum is currently hosting two incredible exhibits under one roof. Open now, explore Inspiring NATURE, Inspired TECHNO: Biomimicry and Transport and Disheveling! An extraordinHAIRY exhibition. Both exhibitions offer visitors an opportunity to explore science and nature from different perspectives.
Inspiring NATURE, Inspired TECHNO: Biomimicry and Transport examines how nature influences technological development, specifically in the field of transportation. Featuring over 30 natural specimens, it highlights how living organisms inspire innovative designs and materials in engineering and mobility.
Disheveling! An extraordinHAIRY exhibition takes you into the extraordinHAIRY world of hair! Explore all kinds of hair from human to animal and even plant! The exhibition explores hair from biological, cultural, and practical perspectives, in a fun and engaging way.

Disheveling! An extraordinHAIRY exhibition is a production of the Sherbrooke Museum of Nature and Science with the contribution of Heritage Canada and the collaboration of Télé-Québec.
Inspiring NATURE, Inspired TECHNO: Biomimicry and Transport is a production of the Musée de l’ingéniosité J. Armand Bombardier in collaboration with the Musée de la nature et des sciences de Sherbrooke, the Granby Zoo, and the Institut de biomimétisme. It was made possible thanks to the contribution of the Government of Canada.
Inspiring NATURE, Inspired TECHNO: Biomimicry and Transport and Disheveling! An extraordinHAIRY exhibition are open now until May 10, 2026, at the Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum.

Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum is open Wednesday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
